Delhi: Criminal with 12 cases held

The accused, 26-year-old Farman, a resident of New Usmanpur, is a known history-sheeter with a criminal record spanning over 40 cases.

An eight-month-old infant who was allegedly kidnapped from the Khajuri Khas area in northeast Delhi was rescued by police within days, with a couple arrested in connection with the crime, officials said.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday said it has attached immovable properties valued at Rs 313.12 crore as part of its ongoing investigation into Ansal Properties and Infrastructure Ltd (APIL) and its promoters for their involvement in criminal activities, including financial misappropriation and fraudulent diversion of funds collected from homebuyers.

A representation has been moved before the Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court seeking transfer of a criminal revision petition linked to the excise policy case from the bench of Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma to another appropriate bench.

Patiala House Court on Wednesday granted interim protection from arrest to a T-shirt designer in connection with the AI Summit protest case, which took place on February 20 and was allegedly organised by Indian Youth Congress workers at Bharat Mandapam.

The accused have been identified as Mohammed Syeed Uddin (26), Mohd Tajuddin (31), Mohd Younis (25), and MD Ayub (24). Police said that Uddin had worked for a call centre in Dubai, and contacted other members to acquire some SIM cards.

Two alleged shooters wanted in connection with the murder of a businessman in Bawana were injured and arrested following an encounter with the Delhi Police in the Rohini area late Monday night, officials said.

Telangana Jagruthi President K Kavitha was detained by police on Monday. She called the arrest "very illegal" and said there were no women in the bus.

Delhi Police teams are in constant touch with the victim and are providing all necessary assistance. Multiple teams have already been deployed to identify and apprehend the accused at the earliest.

The Delhi Police has shared an update regarding the arrest of seven more individuals and the apprehension of one minor who were wanted co-accused in the Uttam Nagar case.
