Delhi: CISF arrests Uzbek national with US currency valued Rs 2.5 cr at IGI airport

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel on Friday said that they have arrested an Uzbekistan national with US dollars valued at Rs 2.52 crore at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, officials said.

New Delhi [India], September 1 (ANI): The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel on Friday said that they have arrested an Uzbekistan national with US dollars valued at Rs 2.52 crore at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, officials said.
According to CISF personnel, the passenger was identified as Mirjalol Juraev (Uzbekistan national) who was supposed to travel from Delhi to Dubai.
On inquiry, Mirjalol Juraev could not produce valid documents to carry such a huge amount of foreign currency, said the officials.
The passenger along with the recovered US Dollar was handed over to Customs officials for further action in the matter. (ANI)
