Delhi blast: "Sympathy has no value if govt can't provide ambulance," says AAP's Saurabh Bharadwaj after meeting injured victims at hospital

Bharadwaj said, "Sympathy has no value if the government cannot even provide an ambulance for the families to retrieve the bodies. The Home Minister came to Delhi's largest hospital, and the Chief Minister came and said that everything is going fine, but the families of the deceased are being told that the bodies are lying there, and they should arrange for an ambulance themselves. This is very heartbreaking and wrong."

New Delhi [India], November 11 (ANI): Following the car explosion near the Red Fort on Sunday evening which killed at least eight people and injuring several others, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Delhi President Saurabh Bharadwaj on Tuesday visited the injured victims at Lok Nayak Jay Prakash Narayan (LNJP) Hospital and criticised the government for failing to provide adequate support to the families of the deceased.
Speaking to reporters after his visit, Bharadwaj said, "Sympathy has no value if the government cannot even provide an ambulance for the families to retrieve the bodies. The Home Minister came to Delhi's largest hospital, and the Chief Minister came and said that everything is going fine, but the families of the deceased are being told that the bodies are lying there, and they should arrange for an ambulance themselves. This is very heartbreaking and wrong."
He urged the authorities to take immediate responsibility and ensure that proper facilities are provided to those affected. "The government should be concerned about this," the AAP Delhi President said.
Bharadwaj, who met with the injured and hospital staff, expressed hope for their recovery. "We met with the injured, spoke with the doctors, and our prayer to God is that they recover soon," he said.
Targeting the BJP government, Bharadwaj added, "The government has said many times that if there is a terrorist attack on the country, it will be considered as an act of 'war', but this is the first country where a war is taking place, and yet Prime Minister Modi left on a foreign trip this morning."
Meanwhile, teams from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and forensic experts on Tuesday conducted an extensive investigation at the site of the car blast near Red Fort in Delhi.
Delhi Police on Tuesday traced the 11-hour route map of the Hyundai i20 car, in which the blast near the Lal Quila metro station took place on Monday evening.
Following the car explosion near Red Fort in Delhi, several cities and states across the country have been put on high alert, such as Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
Earlier today, Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired another round of a high-level security review meeting to assess the situation following the deadly blast in Delhi.
All agencies have been instructed to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the nature and cause of the explosion and submit a detailed report as soon as possible. (ANI)
