Delhi: 35-year-old son kills father, arrested

Delhi police on Monday arrested a 35-year-old man identified as Ved Prakash for killing his 85-year-old father.

New Delhi [India], June 3 (ANI): Delhi police on Monday arrested a 35-year-old man identified as Ved Prakash for killing his 85-year-old father.
At 7:29 am, a call was received at police station Nand Nagri from GTB Hospital according to which 40-year-old Kishan Pal got his father Om Prakash admitted, said police.
But the hospital authorities declared him as brought dead, said police.
The deceased was cohabiting with his two sons Kishan Pal and Ved Prakash.
Accused Ved Prakash stabbed his father with a sickle kept in the kitchen for cutting vegetables. The accused is unmarried and he and his father used to fight over petty domestic issues. On Monday morning, both fought over a trivial matter and the accused attacked his father with a sickle and consequent death occurred, said police.
More details into the matter are awaited. Further investigation is underway. (ANI)
