Delhi: 3 sisters die of starvation, magisterial probe ordered

he Delhi High court while disposing a Habeas Corpus petition held that Minor childrens' custody with mother, who is a natural guardian, can not be termed as illegal. A British Citizen of Pakistan origin Yasir Ayaz had moved a petition of Habeas Corpus for production of his children and their repatriation to the United Kingdom as per the order of UK Family court.

M Sivaguru Prabhakaran, Commissioner of the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation (CCMC), confirmed on Tuesday that 43 students fell ill after consuming food allegedly contaminated by a lizard at a local school. The incident led to a swift emergency response, with 30 boys and 13 girls being rushed to the government hospital for medical attention.

The incident reportedly occurred on Sunday evening when a group of men allegedly harassed a girl from Northeast India and her friends while they were taking a walk in a park. When one of the girls objected to inappropriate remarks, the situation escalated, leading to her assault. The injured girl was taken to Safdarjung Hospital for medical examination and treatment. Preliminary reports indicate that she sustained minor injuries and is expected to recover soon.

The Delhi Police has shared an update regarding the arrest of seven more individuals and the apprehension of one minor who were wanted co-accused in the Uttam Nagar case.

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma, in a post on X, wrote, "Angered by the repeated attacks on North East people in Mainland India. The physical attack on two of our people from Manipur and Assam near Saket Court, Delhi, is sickening. Racial bullying should not be accepted as the new normal, and we must act against it."
