Delhi: 3-day aviation seminar commences

New Delhi [India], Oct 24 (ANI): A three-day seminar organised by the Indian Aviation Academy in collaboration with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and aviation trainers from as many as 20 countries to find a solution for challenges faced by them, flagged-off on Wednesday.
Discussions were held under the banner - "The three-day ICAO course Developers and Instructors Standardisation Meeting on Implementing Aviation Training Intelligence," and were largely focused on finding ways to manage aviation challenges through innovative training solutions.
Chairman of Airports Authority of India (AAI), Guruprasad Mohapatra, said that the program was essentially organised to help the trainers enhance their training knowledge and techniques.
"This two-day training program held by the Indian Aviation Academy in coordination with the ICAO essentially to train the trainers and instructors on how to train better. This is the whole purpose of the exercise and there are delegates from more than 20 countries participating in this event. I'm sure that this training program will go a long way in helping the entire trainer community in discharging their duties better" Mohapatra said.
Furthermore, AAI Member Anuj Aggarwal said the seminar was a stage for the academics and the experts to come together and enhance the training methods by sharing knowledge with each other.
Aggarwal, while underscoring the instrumentality of Airports Authority of India in training, asserted that the three-day program will prove fructiferous to the participants.
"Airports Authority has done a lot of things for training and our aviation market is also the fastest growing market globally. Considering all these things, we do require a trained manpower in coming few years and we want to go in a big way for our training program" Aggarwal said.
Currently, the Indian aviation sector is the fastest growing aviation sector in the world. Placed at number seven, it is poised to become the third largest aviation market in the world by 2023, with the growth trajectory suggesting that India may take the numero uno position by 2030. (ANI)
