Delhi: 17-year-old boy commits suicide by hanging self from ceiling fan

New Delhi [India], July 4 (ANI): A 17-year-old boy allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan at his home, police said on Thursday.

New Delhi [India], July 4 (ANI): A 17-year-old boy allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan at his home, police said on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Sahil who was a student of class 11 and a resident of Vasant Vihar.
The police said, "The incident took place on Wednesday. The boy was brought by his parents to hospital in casualty ward where the doctor declared him dead."
"The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary Safdarjung Hospital for autopsy. After the autopsy was conducted today, the body was handed over to the relatives. The deceased was the only son of his parents out of three children, one elder sister, and one younger sister," said police.
The police further said that the deceased had taken admission in class 11 in a school in Vasant Vihar. His father is working with Keshav Mahavidhyala, Delhi University as a peon.
During the enquiry, no foul play is suspected by the family. Further enquiry is in progress, said police. (ANI)
