Delegation from Nepal visits NHRC in New Delhi

New Delhi [India], Feb 4 (ANI): A delegation from Nepal’s National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) is visiting the Indian NHRC from February 4 to February 8 to have an overview of the functioning of the Commission.

New Delhi [India], Feb 4 (ANI): A delegation from Nepal’s National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) is visiting the Indian NHRC from February 4 to February 8 to have an overview of the functioning of the Commission.
The seven-member delegation from Nepal is led by Sudip Pathak, the NHRC Commissioner and includes, among other senior officers, Bed Prasad Bhattarai and Murari Prasad Kharel.
The delegation met with NHRC India Chairperson, Justice HL Dattu, an NHRC Member, Jyotika Kalra, and the Secretary-General, Jaideep Govind, amongst other senior officers that have an overview of the functioning of the Commission. They will be further briefed by specialist officers who handle complaints, investigation, research, information technology and media-related issues at the NHRC, India.
The Nepalese delegation will also visit the National Commission for Women, National Commission for Scheduled Castes, National Commission for Scheduled Tribes, National Commission for Minorities, National Commission for Backward Classes and National Commission for Safai Karamcharis during their visit, to understand their functioning.
