COVID-19: Chandigarh tally reaches 21

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday conducted searches at 19 premises in Chandigarh, Haryana and Punjab in relation to the recent fraud that happened at IDFC First Bank, Chandigarh branch, officials said.

The project titled "Development of Novel Antidote(s) for Highly Toxic Organophosphorous Compounds" has been approved with a total financial outlay of Rs 99.15 lakhs.

Thousands of Congress workers from across Punjab on Friday staged a massive demonstration against the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and the Aam Aadmi Party government for its failure to fulfil its commitments to the people.

Emphasising the state government's commitment to promote the tourism sector, the Chief Minister said that expansion of connectivity and infrastructure was being given added priority to enhance facilities for visitors. He added that the growth of tourism would strengthen the state's economy and generate employment and self-employment opportunities for the youth, according to a release.

According to an official release, the group comprises 11 girls and 19 boys from Eliezer Joldan Memorial College, University of Ladakh, and the Central Institute of Buddhist Studies, Choglamsar. During the 13-day tour, the students will visit Gurugram, Chandigarh, Manali, and Jammu as part of a structured exposure programme aimed at fostering national integration and regional understanding.
