Court reserves order on bail pleas moved by five accused in USD 15 million fraud case

The Rouse Avenue court on Friday reserved an order on the bail pleas moved by five accused persons in a transnational cyber fraud case. The court is to pronounce the order on bail pleas on August 13.

New Delhi [India], August 9 (ANI): The Rouse Avenue court on Friday reserved an order on the bail pleas moved by five accused persons in a transnational cyber fraud case. The court is to pronounce the order on bail pleas on August 13.
Special CBI judge Mohd. Farrukh reserved an order on the bail pleas of Dhruv Khattar, Ritesh Kumar, Ravindra Gupta, Hazim Imtiyaz and Mir Gazanfar Gul after hearing arguments of defence counsels and the public prosecutor for CBI.
This case is linked to alleged fraud committed to US citizens worth 15 million US dollars.
Meanwhile, on Friday, August 9, the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM) extended judicial custody of 38 accused persons on the same matter till August 23. One accused was also not produced from jail.
The court remanded four other accused to judicial custody after CBI interrogation.
The court has directed to produce all 43 accused persons on the next date through video conferencing from Tihar Jail.
Meanwhile, the court has directed the jail authorities to produce a medical record of one of the accused, Abhishek Bisht.
Advocate Bharat Arora appeared for accused Abhishek Bisht and advocate Arun Khatri appeared for accused Dhruv Khattar.
The CBI had arrested 43 people, including four women in this case, on July 25 from Gurugram. It is alleged that US citizens were defrauded of 15 million US dollars. (ANI)
