Court grants anticipatory bail to Binoy Kodiyeri in rape case

Keralam BJP chief Rajeev Chandrasekhar, while speaking to the reporters, said, "Let us be clear in what context this drama is happening. There are 30 days for the elections, the CPM CM very clearly knows that we won't remain the CM because the govt will be booted out by the people of Keralam for misgovernance and corruption."

The 28 seat council is currently led by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), with the Pradyot Bikram Manikya Deb Barma-led Tipra Motha party leading in the council with 16 seats. While the party crosses the majority mark in the council, it is supported by the BJP having 9 members.

Communist Party of India (Marxist) State Secretary Binoy Viswam on Monday dismissed allegations of "payment seats" within the party, following sharp criticism from sitting MLA CC Mukundan over the denial of a seat in the Nattika constituency.

Kerala BJP President Rajeev Chandrasekhar on Wednesday criticised the Congress and the CPM for condemning only the US and Israel in the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict, accusing them of remaining silent about the risks faced by Malayalis living in Gulf countries due to Iran's actions.

"Top CPM leaders, including the Chief Minister, have unleashed a deliberate lie that KSU workers attacked the Health Minister, and on that false pretext, widespread violence has been carried out across the state. Every journalist, police officer, and railway police personnel present know that not a single protester even went near the Minister. Only four or five KSU workers were there, and they were already surrounded by 30-35 policemen," Satheesan said.
