The Women's Reservation Bill, which provides for 33 per cent reservation for women in the Lok Sabha as well as the state legislative assemblies, cleared its final legislative hurdle at the Rajya Sabha on Thursday with 214 members voting in support and none against.
The Bill got the nod of the Lok Sabha as it was passed with a brute majority with 454 votes in favour and just 2 against.
Birla further said that four high-level sessions will be organized during the P-20 Summit including accelerating Sustainable Development Groups, sustainable energy transition, transformation in people's lives through public digital platform and women-led development.

The Lok Sabha Speaker further expressed hope that the P20 will collectively come together on a parliamentary forum and give a unique perspective, considering the entire world as a family.
Birla further said that with the spirit of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam - One Earth, One Family, One Future', India aims to provide consensus-based solutions to complex global issues towards a more inclusive, peaceful and equitable world.
"Since P20 is also a platform of the G20 countries. I hope that even in P20, we will collectively come together on a parliamentary forum and give a unique perspective, considering the whole world as a family, following the culture of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam...
