Bijwasan (New Delhi) [India], February 3 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party MP Sambit Patra accused National Convener of Aaa, Aadmi Party Arvind Kejriwal of being involved in a major water scam, alleging that mafia-controlled water distribution networks were supplying Delhi residents.
Speaking to ANI, Patra claimed that the water situation in areas like Bijwasan is far from the promises Kejriwal made when he came into power.
"Corruption and scam on water is going on here... We will expose the water scam that is being done by Arvind Kejriwal," Patra said.

He described the situation in Bijwasan, saying that what appeared to be electricity wires were hose pipes used to supply water. "I thought that these wires above us were electricity wires, but they are not. These are hose pipes. Water is being supplied through these pipes," he claimed.
Patra mocked Kejriwal's promise of transforming Delhi into a city like Venice, stating, "Arvind Kejriwal had promised to transform Delhi into Venice but 'pani toh hamara sar ke upar se beh raha hai'" - translating to "the water is flowing above our heads."
He went further, accusing Kejriwal of allowing mafia groups to control the water supply. "These water pipes are supplying water to every house here... Tanker mafias have been planted in the farmhouses of his allies and friends. Those mafias have bored out groundwater which is being supplied in houses here," Patra alleged.
Patra also claimed that a private meter was installed in every house and that the water bills generated went directly to Kejriwal via contractors.

"A private meter is installed in every house and the bill generated goes directly to Arvind Kejriwal via the contractor... This is not Jal Board water, this is private supply," he added, accusing Kejriwal of running a private water supply operation.
Earlier, Patra had fiercely criticized former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's handling of the city's water supply, accusing him of profiting from mafia-run water distribution networks.
Speaking in Bijwasan, Patra raised questions about the adequacy and quality of water supplied to residents, claiming that Kejriwal's promises of free water were a facade.
Patra went on to accuse Kejriwal of earning crores through these illegal networks. "Arvind Kejriwal is earning crores by supplying water in this way," Patra alleged. "You can see a private meter installed here," he said.
Monday marks the last day of campaigning for the Delhi Assembly elections. Delhi will go to the polls on Wednesday and the results of the election will be declared on February 8. (ANI)
