Congress tries to divide people based on caste & religion: CM Bhajan Lal Sharma

Solapur (Maharashtra) [India], November 7 (ANI): Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma launched a scathing attack on Congress on Thursday and said they try to divide people based on caste and religion.
Sharma was attending an event in Maharashtra's Solapur where he spoke to ANI and took a dig at the opposition.
"As the elections approach, Maha Vikas Aghadi uses foul language to trick the public. They divide the public. Public now understands it. During the elections, everyone must have seen how Congress tries to divide people based on caste, and religion. The public knows that they were given a chance and what they did," he said.
He assured the public that a double-engine government will be formed in Maharashtra once again and said, "The public of India and Maharashtra trusts Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They know about the Prime minister's vision and his positive thinking. I have seen enthusiasm and excitement among the people of Maharashtra and they want a double-engine government to be formed. Under the leadership of PM Modi, a government will be formed."
Rajasthan CM interacted with the Marwadi people under Marwari Samaj Sammelan organized in Solapur.
Meanwhile, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Kiren Rijiju on Thursday criticised the Congress, stating that no one would believe the Congress's promises for the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections.
Addressing a press conference in Mumbai, Rijiju remarked, "No one will ever believe the announcements made by Congress for the Maharashtra assembly elections."
He also criticised Lok Sabha Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi for his "Samvidhan Sammelan" in Nagpur, arguing that Congress has no grounds to discuss the Constitution after previously showing disrespect towards it.
"I object to Rahul Gandhi holding the 'Samvidhan Sammelan' in Nagpur when he doesn't respect the Constitution... Congress has no right to talk about Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar and the Constitution after disrespecting them," Rijiju stated. Intensifying his critique, the Union Minister said that Congress and its allies deserve to face consequences in the Maharashtra elections.
The Maharashtra Assembly election is set to take place on November 20, with vote counting for all 288 constituencies scheduled for November 23. (ANI)
