Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], December 14 (ANI): Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Prem Chand Bairwa on Saturday criticised the Congress party, accusing it of spreading negative propaganda about the Constitution.
The Deputy Chief Minister alleged that the Congress had a history of making remarks disrespectful to the Constitution and Babasaheb Ambedkar. In contrast, he commended the Modi government for its efforts to uphold constitutional values.
"Congress spread negative propaganda about the Constitution... The Congress government has always been making comments on the Constitution, insulting Babasaheb Ambedkar... If anyone has worked towards respecting the Indian Constitution and Babasaheb Ambedkar, it is the Modi government," he said.
His remarks followed a two-day discussion in the Lok Sabha on the "Glorious Journey of 75 Years of the Constitution of India."
Bairwa also highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for India's development, aiming to make the country a developed nation by 2047.
"PM Modi has a mission and vision to make India a developed nation by 2047. In the states where the BJP is in power, work is being carried out under the leadership of PM Modi to achieve this goal. The Rajasthan government is advancing with this resolution," he added.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his address in the Lok Sabha, criticised the Congress over the Emergency period, stating that whenever democracy is discussed, "this very sin" of the Congress will be remembered.
He launched a sharp attack on the Congress, saying, "One family in Congress left no stone unturned in striking a blow to the Constitution."
PM Modi recalled that when India was celebrating 25 years of the Constitution, "it was torn apart," and the Emergency was imposed. (ANI)
