New Delhi [India], June 18 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Rajeev Chandrasekhar on Wednesday reiterated that India has never accepted and will never accept mediation from any country on issues with Pakistan. His remarks followed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent conversation with US President Donald Trump, during which India's stance on Operation Sindoor was clearly conveyed.
Chandrasekhar criticised the Congress party for spreading false claims about US involvement.
"It was always known to every Indian that there never was, there is not and never will be any other country India will seek to fight against our enemies...Unfortunately, the Congress party since 2014 are repeatedly starting new cycles of lies...They came up with the lie that the mediation was being done by the US President. But nobody actually said this. After the US President's statement, our Foreign Secretary cleared it...People who have done the most harm to India today is the Congress," Chandrasekhar said.
While on the same topic, BJP MP Ghulam Ali Khatana emphasised that India's only outstanding issue with Pakistan is Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK).

He added that Operation Sindoor targeted and destroyed terror infrastructure in Pakistan, focusing only on terrorism. He also said India is a responsible country and does not bow to pressure from any nation.
"Our only pending issue with Pakistan is PoJK...As far as Operation Sindoor is concerned, we only dismantled the terror infrastructure (in Pakistan); our focus was on terrorism. After this, Pakistan reached out to the world. We are a responsible country, and we do not come under pressure from any country," Khatana said.
Earlier today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a telephonic conversation with US President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the G7 Summit, which took place in Canada. During the conversation, which lasted over half an hour, PM Modi briefed the US President about India's Operation Sindoor and firmly conveyed the message that India has never accepted and will never accept mediation on the issues with Pakistan, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri informed.
Misri noted, "Prime Minister Modi made it clear to President Trump that during this entire episode, at no time, at any level, were issues such as India-US trade deal or mediation by the US between India and Pakistan discussed. The halt to military action was discussed directly between India and Pakistan, through existing channels of the two armies, and was at the request of Pakistan."
He added, "Prime Minister Modi stressed that India has never accepted mediation, does not accept it, and will never accept it. There is complete political unanimity in India on this issue."
The remarks come after the US President had time and again claimed that he had used trade as a means for the cessation of hostilities between India and Pakistan. (ANI)
