Congress' Priyanka Gandhi wishes states, union territories on their foundation day

Congratulating each state and union territories on their foundation day on Friday, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra highlighted how across the country contains distinct cultures, languages and history.

New Delhi [India], November 1 (ANI): Congratulating each state and union territories on their foundation day on Friday, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra highlighted how across the country contains distinct cultures, languages and history.
She wished Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Lakshadweep, Andaman & Nicobar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Chandigarh, Haryana and Punjab on their foundation day earlier today in a post on X.
"From East to West, North to South, each of our states is proud of its distinct culture, diverse languages, rich history and unique traditions. These diverse specialties bind the entire India in the thread of unity. Let us together celebrate the great Indian identity of 'Unity in Diversity'. Jai Hind!," the post read.


Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah also extended their wishes to the states celebrating their foundation day. Wishing each state individually in various posts on X, he highlighted the contributions of each state to the country in various fields, including cultural heritage, development, preservation, and natural resources.
Moreover, Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi also greeted the people of several states and Union Territories, underlining the importance of India's cultural diversity.
"These vibrant cultures, diverse languages, rich histories, and enduring traditions are the very heart of India's strength and give our nation its resilience. Let us celebrate and safeguard this unity, recognizing that each state's unique contribution enriches and strengthens the bonds that hold us together," read the post of Rahul Gandhi.
Additionally, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge also shared his wishes, stating, "Our diversity is India's strength. We extend our warm greetings on the Formation Day of Andhra Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Chhattisgarh, Chandigarh, Delhi, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Puducherry, and Tamil Nadu. We wish each of the States and Union Territories peace, prosperity, and boundless progress." (ANI)
