Bikaner (Rajasthan) [India], September 21 (ANI): Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal on Sunday launched a scathing attack on the Congress leadership, saying that they have decided to oppose every good work being done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Meghwal stated that Congress is criticising PM Modi without any reason and insulting the position of Prime Minister.
Speaking to the media, Meghwal said, "The Congress leadership has decided that they will oppose any good work Prime Minister Modi does. Whatever good work is being done in the country, GDP is rising, the country is becoming an economic power, and Prime Minister Modi is also succeeding in foreign policy. The Congress is criticising him without reason, defaming India's constitutional institutions, and insulting the position of Prime Minister; all this is not right... He (Rahul Gandhi) has nothing...".
On Friday, Union Minister Meghwal had criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his allegations of vote theft, saying that even the Congress party doesn't seem to take him seriously.
Meghwal added that the Election Commission had already addressed the issues raised by Congress and questioned whether the party was trying to defame constitutional institutions.
Speaking to the reporters, Arjun Ram Meghwal said, "... Election Commission has given answers to all their questions. I think even the Congress party is not taking Rahul Gandhi seriously. I can't understand what he's trying to say... How did Congress win 99 seats in the 2024 elections? Have they taken the onus of defaming our constitutional organisations?..."
Earlier, on Thursday, Congress MP and Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi held a press conference in New Delhi and accused Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar of protecting "people who are destroying Indian democracy".
Although the Congress leader clarified that the so-called 'Hydrogen Bomb' was still expected, he claimed that a "certain group of people" are systematically cutting the votes of minority groups who specifically vote for the Congress.
Gandhi also claimed that there was an attempt to delete more than 6,000 voters' names from the Aland constituency in Karnataka. (ANI)
