Kurukshetra (Haryana) [India], September 5 (ANI): Launching a blistering attack on the Congress-AAP alliance for the 2024 Haryana Assembly elections, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said on Thursday that both parties are completely indulged in corruption and just want to fill their pockets.
"Congress and AAP both are corrupt parties. There were scams during the Congress era, and Aam Aadmi party came to power saying that it was a corruption free party, but unfortunately both the corrupt parties have joined their hands. Their agenda is not to work for the welfare of the people of Haryana, their agenda is to indulge in corruption and fill their pockets," Saini said while speaking to the media.
Commenting on the Congress party's decision to offer tickets to Bajrang Punia and Vinesh Phogat, Saini described it as a 'political move'.
"Congress does politics in the name of athletes, youth, farmers, and the poor, but has never done anything for them. It just exploits them," he said.
Exuding confidence over BJP's victory in the upcoming elections, Saini said that the people will support the PM Modi's vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047 by making them win in the upcoming elections.

"People of Haryana will vote for BJP for the third time and we will form the government with a huge majority. The double-engine government has worked extensively in the state. It is PM Narendra Modi's vision to have a Viksit Bharat by 2047 and I have full faith in the people of Haryana that they will support this vision and take it forward with conviction. We are going among the people and telling them about the work done by our government," Saini said.
Meanwhile, BJP also initiated a "Jan Samvad" campaigning program in the State just ahead of the Assembly polls.
BJP leaders and in-charges of Haryana have been given the responsibility to hold public dialogue with the people and give information about the public interest schemes of the government.
The government will make all the answers to the questions related to the beneficiaries available to the public domain. An introduction booklet will also be prepared which will be distributed among the people.
The voting for the 90-member legislative assembly in Haryana will be held on October 5, with the last date for filing nominations being September 12. The counting of votes will take place on October 8.
On August 31, the Election Commission of India (ECI) revised the polling date for the Haryana Assembly elections from October 1 to October 5, and moved the counting of votes for both the Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana assemblies from October 4 to October 8. (ANI)
