CM Yogi rules social media with followers reaching over 70 lakh on Instagram

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's popularity on social media is growing day by day. After crossing 2.5 crore followers on 'X' (formerly Twitter), CM Yogi has achieved another milestone with the number of his followers exceeding 70 lakh mark on Instagram.

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India] October 3 (ANI): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's popularity on social media is growing day by day. After crossing 2.5 crore followers on 'X' (formerly Twitter), CM Yogi has achieved another milestone with the number of his followers exceeding 70 lakh mark on Instagram, said an official statement from government of UP. 
CM Yogi Adityanath has become the third Indian politician after Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to have this remarkable number of followers on Instagram. The Prime Minister has 7.97 crore followers while Amit Shah has 78 lakh followers on Instagram
It is noteworthy that after forming the government in Uttar Pradesh, the country's most populous state, in 2017, CM Yogi undertook several reforms in diverse sectors, to strengthen law and order and carry out comprehensive development in the state. He ensured good governance as a result of which, his popularity soared on social media. 
The Chief Minister joined the social media platform (Instagram) in March 2015, and he goes by the name "myogi_aditynath" on his Instagram profile. His activism on social media can be gauged from the fact that since 2015 till now, CM Yogi has made 3,273 posts on his Instagram account.
His posts include his speeches from various events, Kanya Pujan, meetings with personalities including sportspersons, and his greeting message on special occasions. These posts have been liked and shared by lakhs of people. No opposition leader is even close to him on Instagram. Instagram is a platform for sharing photos and videos. In India and Uttar Pradesh, the younger generation is its largest user base.
On social media, CM Yogi is known as the most active Chief Minister. His count of followers on social media platforms is the highest among all Chief Ministers and politicians. Recently, the Chief Minister set a new record of popularity by crossing 2.5 crore followers on the social media platform X. Currently, he has 2.62 crore followers on X.
In addition, Chief Minister Yogi is active on several other social media platforms as well. On the Koo app, he has 68 lakh followers, making him the most followed person on that platform. Recently, he also joined WhatsApp and has around 3 (2.94) lakh followers on his channel. (ANI)
