Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], July 19 (ANI): The Telangana Government has adopted a new policy and moved forward to strengthen the education system in all government schools, according to an official press release.
According to the press release, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy instructed Secretary to Education Department Burra Venkatesham to prepare plans to strengthen all government schools in the state within a period of three years.
CM Reddy ordered the officials to come up with constructive proposals to open "semi-residential schools" along with "integrated residential schools".
The CM asked the Education Department to prepare proposals to provide education up to the 3rd standard in Anganwadi centres on the lines of play schools.
According to the press release, "Arrangements should be made to provide educational facilities to all students in their native villages. The CM suggested finalizing a plan to recruit one additional teacher in Anganwadi centres."
CM Reddy has planned to establish semi-residential schools to offer education up to the 4th standard.
According to the release, transport facilities should be provided for students who study in semi-residential schools.
Officials have been asked to seek the opinions of educational experts and prepare plans to take up the pilot project in one or two mandals.
According to the official release, CM Reddy directed officials and said, "Apart from the government allocations, utilise CRS funds also to improve the facilities for the students in government schools. Take all necessary measures to provide quality education to the students."
Earlier on Thursday, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu released over Rs 6,000 crore into the accounts of farmers under the loan waiver scheme 2024 from the Secretariat in Hyderabad.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhatti Vikramarka said that today is a big festival day for farmers in Telangana. It is a day that should be written with golden letters in the nation's history.
Whole country is looking at Telangana with wonder for waiving upto Rs 2 lakh loan of farmers at one go. By doing so, Telangana State created a record, he said.
No State ever implemented Rs 2 lakh loan waiver for farmers at once in the country and Telangana became a model State in this for the country, he added.
The whole Congress Party which already fulfilled five of six guarantees promised in the election manifesto today also kept its word on loan waiver of upto Rs 2 lakhs to farmers.
After the bifurcation of the State, though the rich Telangana State was governed by the BRS Party, the KCR government could implement Rs one lakh loan waiver scheme over a period of five years in four instalments.
The BRS which came to power in 2018 in fact could not completely implement Rs 1 lakh loan waiver scheme for farmers even in five years, he said. (ANI)
