CM Raman Singh slams Congress, says it needs not worry about state schemes

Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], October 13 (ANI): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh on Friday said that the Congress Party need not worry about their 'Bonus Tihar' programme, rather should worry about the questions people are asking about the latter's work in last 50 years.

Slamming Congress, Singh said, "Congress friends were demanding paddy bonuses for the farmers here, but when I announced the bonus, Congressmen's faces turned pale."

The Chief Minister further said that as the Congress Party has been disappearing from the state since quite a long time; it might have thought that by raising the bonus issue, it would earn brownie points and would aim to return to power in 2018.

Targeting the Grand old party, he said, "The Congress made Bastar region a hostage under it and had never worried about it. But as elections are approaching, it is suddenly missing Bastar and raising its issues."

He added that the Congress should for ones see how school facilities and development has reached Dantewada region under his power.

Singh said, "I want to recall Prime Minister Narendra Modi's words that by 2018, electricity will reach to each and every household here,"

Chief Minister Raman Singh has started 'Bonus Tihar' programme in the state under which paddy bonuses are distributed to farmers.

As per the Chief Minister, the bonus amount is being paid for the crops produced in 2016. The bonus is additional to the Minimum Support Price (MSP). (ANI)
