CM Pushkar Singh Dhami launches 'Rozgar Prayag Portal' at Uttarakhand Youth Mahotsav in Dehradun

Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], October 9 (ANI): Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami launched the 'Rozgar Prayag Portal' in the Uttarakhand Youth Mahotsav-2023 program organized at Parade Ground in Dehradun on Monday, said a press release.
The portal has been developed by the government for the youth with the aim of providing employment opportunities in the state on a single portal, said the official statement.
According to the press release, the Uttarakhand CM, on the occasion, also launched 'Yuva Uttarakhand App' and also inaugurated self-employment centres in the employment offices of Dehradun and Udham Singh Nagar. The app has been developed by ITDA to make the schemes run by various departments available at one place.
Dhami further announced the development of employment centres in employment offices in all the districts for the youth to get more information and applications related to the schemes, said the release.
Dhami provided appointment letters to 17 candidates selected through employment fairs and also visited the exhibitions organized by various departments, added the release.
As per the official statement, an MoU was signed between the Skill Development and Employment Department and IIT Roorkee in the presence of the Chief Minister in the Youth Mahotsav program. The MoU aims to utilize the technical expertise of IIT Roorkee for the development of the skill capacity of the state's manpower.
In the first phase, technical support will be provided by the Incubator Center of IIT Roorkee for high-level upskilling of the labour force working in the construction sector, said the official statement.
The official release further mentioned that an MoU was also signed between the Skill Development and Employment Department and Microsoft with the aim that students studying in higher technical institutions of the state will be given training related to digital skills by Microsoft. Microsoft will also provide technical support in digital training to the deprived groups of society.
MoUs were signed with Envertz Consultancy as well to employ nursing trainees from the state as nurses in England and Ireland and with Generise Global to employ them as nurses in Germany.
According to the official release, Dhami while addressing the youth at the Parade Ground said while 'Rojgar Prayag Portal' and 'Yuva Uttarakhand App' have been launched for the youth, technical support from IIT Roorkee and Microsoft have also been established.
While the Rozgar Prayag portal will simplify the information and application process for the posts to be filled through outsourcing in various government departments, the youth will also be able to get information about the outsourcing posts in various departments through this portal, said Dhami.
Dhami further said that the youth of Uttarakhand is not only talented and capable but hardworking as well highlighting how the talent of the state, in multiple fields, has brought glory to the state, country and the world.
Additionally, the Uttarakhand CM highlighted that the future of the country and the state depends on the power of youth and that a new India, with youth being its strong foundation, is being built under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said the official statement.
"We will not allow injustice to the youth in the state at any level," said CM Dhami in the official statement.
He further said that the government has worked to secure the future of the youth by implementing anti-copying law and taking strict action against the culprits involved in recruitment scams.
Multiple efforts have been made by the state government in the direction of employment and self-employment and appointment letters to almost 1,000 candidates have been handed over in the last 15 days, said Dhami.
The press release further mentioned that the Dhami, during the event, said that along with employment and self-employment for the youth, sports culture is also being encouraged in the state, for which, a new sports policy has been brought on one hand and on the other hand, sports quota in jobs has also been reintroduced.
Presently sports scholarship is being given under "Mukhyamantri Udyyaman Khiladi Unnayan Yojana" as the government is completely committed towards the progress of its youth, said Dhami, according to the official release.
He further expressed hope that the youth of the state will also contribute to the government for the progress and prosperity of the state, added the official release. (ANI)
