Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini congratulated Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi on being elected leader of the NDA parliamentary party and said under his leadership, the country will reach great heights.

Karnal (Haryana) [India], June 7 (ANI): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini congratulated Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi on being elected leader of the NDA parliamentary party and said under his leadership, the country will reach great heights.
"I congratulate Narendra Modi ji for being elected as the leader of the NDA parliamentary party for the third time...Under the leadership of PM Modi, the country will touch greater heights...PM Modi has a vision which will benefit the whole country...It's a matter of pride for us that he is becoming the Prime Minister of the country for the third time," said Nayab Singh Saini on Friday.

"Today, the benefit of the Haryana Antyodaya Parivar Parivahan Yojana (Happy Yojana) has been given to those families whose income is less than 1 lakh... There are about 23 lakh families in Haryana who will get its benefit and they will be able to travel free for one thousand Kilometre," he added.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister-designate Modi had earlier in the day called on President Droupadi Murmu and staked the claim to form the government. He met the President after a meeting of leaders of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance, who elected him as the leader.

PM-designate Modi and other members of the new council of ministers will take oath in a ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan on June 9.

"The President will administer the oath of office and secrecy to the Prime Minister and other members of the Union Council of Ministers at 7.15 pm on June 09, 2024, at Rashtrapati Bhavan," Rashtrapati Bhavan said in a post on X. (ANI)
