CM Naidu takes surprise visit to Vijayawada, instructs officials to resolve issues

Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh) [India], October 14 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday said that he conducted a surprise inspection to Vijayawada City as he wanted to check the status of the city.

Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh) [India], October 14 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday said that he conducted a surprise inspection to Vijayawada City as he wanted to check the status of the city.

"I took the inspection of parks, roads, drains, Vambay colony houses and found some problems there. I have thus instructed the officials to resolve the issue," said Naidu.

He added that there are almost 55,000 houses that need to be regularised and given pattas, adding that about 4000 houses are at various levels of construction, which will be completed soon.

CM Naidu also said that the government will build 14,000 more houses in 70 acres, which will help in resolving the housing problem.

CM Naidu also said, "Two lakh metric tonnes of garbage is accumulated at a place that will be menace if left as such. It will be taken away to garbage treatment plant soon."

Speaking about the roads in the city, CM Naidu said that the roads are in good condition, but they still can be worked upon, adding that the widening of the road is needed.

Enunciating about other issues CM Naidu said that the occupancy in Government General Hospital is growing every day.

"The services are good, but we will work on expanding the hospital buildings, and wherever necessary, outsourcing is being done," said CM Naidu.

CM Naidu asserted that the city has three major canals that need beautification, where water front will be developed.

He also said, "We were thinking whether to take up metro or light metro and have opted for the light metro."

CM Naidu asserted that earlier Vijayawada was known for notorious gangs long back, but these days a few people who are trying to create a ruckus.

"I won't spare such actions; peace and prosperity are my priorities," CM Naidu.(ANI)
