Agartala (Tripura) [India], August 23 (ANI): To realise the dream of a developed Tripura by 2047, Chief Minister Manik Saha, on Friday, released the vision document titled "Vikashit Tripura-2047" at Pragya Bhavan, Agartala.
The document outlines a comprehensive roadmap to achieve self-reliance in multiple parameters, aligned with the slogan "Unnata Tripura, Shrestha Tripura" (Advanced Tripura, Best Tripura).
Key goals include strengthening the economy, increasing per capita income, boosting GDP, achieving 100% renewable energy use, attaining 100% literacy, promoting women's empowerment, and expanding international trade.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the vision document's core objective is to ensure an inclusive, safe, prosperous, and healthy future for the people of Tripura.
He emphasised that in line with the "Vikashit Bharat 2047" vision, Tripura must strive to achieve a $124 million economy, where every citizen and institution has a vital role to play.
Highlighting Tripura's achievements, Dr Saha pointed to advancements in education, health, infrastructure, agriculture, tourism, IT, and other sectors. He further informed that during the tenure of the present government, a total of 19,742 government jobs, including under the die-in-harness scheme, have been provided, with special focus on women's empowerment.
Finance, Planning & Coordination Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, NITI Aayog Program Director Rajiv Kumar Sen, and several members of the Council of Ministers were also present and addressed the gathering. (ANI)
