Civilian injured after terrorists open fire in J-K's Anantnag

The injured person was being shifted to the hospital for treatment, police added.

Anantnag (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], October 4 (ANI): Terrorists shot at and injured one person in the Waniham area of Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district, police said on Wednesday evening.
"Terrorists fired upon one person namely Sahil Bashir Dar son of Bashir Ah Dar resident of Wanihama in Anantnag district. The injured person is being shifted to hospital for treatment. Further details shall follow," Kashmir Zone Police said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
Following the firing incident, the area has been cordoned off, they said.
More details are awaited.
Meanwhile, two terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district.
The bodies of killed terrorists are being retrieved from the site of the encounter.
"2 terrorists killed. Bodies of the killed terrorists are being retrieved from the site of the encounter. The cordon & search operation is still in progress. Further details shall follow," Kashmir Police Zone said in a post on X.
The encounter between terrorists and security forces broke out in south Kashmir's Kulgam district on Wednesday morning.
"Encounter has started at Kujjar area of Kulgam. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow," Kashmir Zone Police had said. (ANI)
