Raipur (Chhattisgarh) Mar 7 (ANI): BJP President Amit Shah on Thursday attacked Congress-led Chhattisgarh government and said they disallowed CBI investigation to carry out scams easily.
"As soon as they came to power, their intentions were clearly visible. They disallowed the CBI to investigate into the state so that they can carry out scams easily," said Shah.
In January this year, the Congress government in Chhattisgarh decided to withdraw general consent given to the CBI to probe cases in the state, months after the West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh governments did the same.
He added that the BJP government strengthened the borders and took revenge of the Uri attack and the Pulwama attack.
"The biggest work of our government was to take revenge of the Uri attack with surgical strike and later carried out air strikes to take revenge of the Pulwama attacks," Shah said.
"Before the surgical strike, there were only two nations who took revenge in this way, Prime Minister Modi made India the third nation to do so," the BJP president added.
He added that the government brought in NRC to tackle with the intruders. "But, when we saw the scenario, those backing them created a ruckus. Rahul baba (Rahul Gandhi) was saying why are you throwing them out," Shah added taking a jibe at the opposition parties. (ANI)
