Char Dham Yatra setting new records for past 3 years: Uttarakhand CM Dhami

Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], August 11 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the Char Dham Yatra in the state has been setting new records continuously for the past three years.
According to an official release from the Chief Minister's Office (CMO), "CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the Char Dham Yatra in the state has been setting new records continuously for the past three years."
"CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the state government is committed to making the Char Dham Yatra smooth and safe through better arrangements and unprecedented development works, said the release."
Chief Minister Dhami also said that more than 32 lakh pilgrims have visited the Char Dhams so far.
Earlier, CM Dhami announced that pilgrims would be able to visit the Kedarnath temple via helicopter from August 7.
"Heli Seva of Kedarnath Dham will begin from August 7 and the passengers will get a 25 per cent discount for the same," he said.
Earlier as a result of heavy rains, pilgrims and tourists had been stranded on the Sonprayag-Kedarnath road.
CM Dhami said that the disaster caused a lot of loss of life and property in the state, additionally, connectivity was disrupted at several places.
"The disaster has caused a lot of loss of life and property in the state. Road connectivity has been disrupted at 29 places and landslides have taken place too. District Administration, NDRF, SDRF, local police and other people have come out to help us recover from this situation. The rescue operation is now over. Our focus is to restore the road and other connectivity. We will make some new helipads too. Alternate routes will be created for the people," he said.
"I want to thank PM Modi and Union HM Amit Shah for helping us in these difficult times," Dhami said.
Earlier on Saturday, CM Dhami approved the release of funds for various developmental projects across the state, according to an official release. (ANI)
