Chandrakishore Jaiswal and Renu Yadav honored with IFFCO Literary Awards for 2024

The winners will be honoured in a ceremony on September 30, 2024, in New Delhi.

New Delhi [India], August 29 (ANI): The Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO), a leading cooperative organisation in the fertilizer sector, has announced the winners of its 2024 literary awards.
The prestigious 'Shri Lal Shukla Memorial IFFCO Literary Award' will be presented to acclaimed storyteller Chandrakishore Jaiswal. Additionally, the inaugural 'Shri Lal Shukla Memorial IFFCO Young Literary Award' will be awarded to emerging writer Renu Yadav.
The selection was made by a distinguished panel chaired by senior writer Asgar Wajahat, with members including Dr Anamika, Priyadarshan, Yatindra Mishra, Utkarsh Shukla, and Dr Nalin Vikas.
Chandrakishore Jaiswal, born on February 15, 1940, in Bihar's Madhepura district, has made significant contributions to literature with works like 'Gawah Gairhazir,' 'Jibach Ka Beta Buddha,' and 'Chiranjiv,' among others. His notable achievements include awards like the Ramvriksh Benipuri Award and the Banarasi Prasad Bhojpuri Award. His novel 'Gawah Gairhazir' was adapted into the film 'Rui Ka Bojh,' which was showcased at various international film festivals.
Renu Yadav, born on September 16, 1984, in Gorakhpur, is recognized for her critical and creative writing, including works such as 'Mahadevi Verma Ke Kavya Mein Vedna Ka Manovishleshan' and the poetry collection 'Main Mukt Hoon.' She serves as an Assistant Professor at Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida, and has received the 'Srijan Shri' Award and the 'Virangana Savitribai Phule National Fellowship Award.'
Established in 2011 in memory of the eminent writer Shri Lal Shukla, this award is given annually to a Hindi writer whose works primarily depict rural and agricultural life. Previous recipients include Vidyasagar Nautiyal, Shekhar Joshi, and Sanjeev.
The winners will be honoured in a ceremony on September 30, 2024, in New Delhi.
The awards include a symbol of recognition, a certificate, and a cash prize--eleven lakh rupees for the main award and two and a half lakh rupees for the young literary award. (ANI)
