Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh) [India], October 13 (ANI): Telugu Desham Party (TDP) spokesperson Kommareddy Pattabhiram on Friday expressed his serious concerns over the health condition of former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu and said that his party is taking legal recourse to shift party chief either to a super speciality hospital or a government hospital where all medical facilities are available.
Addressing the media here, Pattabhiram claimed that the health condition of Chandrababu is at high risk and the jail authorities are giving the correct details on the health problems being faced by Chandrababu.
"On the one side Chandrababu is suffering from dehydration and on the other he has some skin allergy issues. The medical treatment extended to him inside the jail is not at all satisfactory. The kind of medicines being administered to Chandrababu, the quality of drinking water and other issues are causing serious concern to the whole State, he observed. If a similar situation continues for another couple of days, Chandrababu is likely to get kidney problems and other serious ailments affecting his organs," Pattabhi said.
Pattabhi further said that after the latest health bulletin not only his family members, but also the whole State and in fact, the whole world, is expressing serious concern over Chandrababu's health condition.
"On Friday the family members of Chandrababu met him through mulaqat and after coming out they were more worried about his health issues," he said.
Pattabhiram further alleged that deliberate attempts were being made to seriously 'hit' the health condition of Chandrababu.
"Not only is the safety and security of our leader under threat now, but his health condition is also causing a serious concern for all of us," he added.
He further demanded the state government for sending the doctor's team which has been serving him for the past two to three decades be allowed to treat him inside the jail till he is shifted to a super-speciality hospital or a government hospital.
"We are also approaching the court on this," Pattabhi added.
Claiming that timely medical assistance is not being provided to Chandrababu Naidu by the Andhra Pradesh government in Rajahmundry central prison, the son of the TDP chief, Lokesh said that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Reddy would be responsible for the further deterioration of his father's health.
In a post on X (former Twitter), Nara Lokesh said, "There is an undeniable and immediate threat to Chandrababu Naidu's life. He is being deliberately harmed. His safety is unquestionably at risk. CBN is facing a dire situation, dealing with mosquitoes, contaminated water, weight loss, infections, and allergies, all without access to timely medical assistance."
"The GoAP is trying to administer steroids to him. What is it that the Government doctors and administration are trying to hide? If any harm befalls Chandrababu Naidu garu, Jagan Reddy will be responsible," he added.
Nara Bhuvaneswari, wife of Chandrababu Naidu also expressed concerns about her husband's well-being and stated that current circumstances made by the state government can pose an immediate threat to the former Chief Minister's life.
Earlier, a team of dermatologists on Monday examined former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in Rajahmundry Central Jail after he complained to the jail authorities about his skin allergy. One associate professor of dermatology and one assistant professor of dermatology have been deputed at Rajamundhry Central Prison to take care of former CM Chandrababu Naidu.
Naidu was arrested by the Andhra Pradesh Criminal Investigation Department (CID) last month for his alleged involvement in a multi-crore skill development 'scam' case. CID said that TDP chief Naidu is the prime conspirator in this case. (ANI)
