Seraikela Kharsawan (Jharkhand) [India], August 24 (ANI): Former Chief Minister and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader Champai Soren has pledged to work for the uplift of the tribal and poor communities in Jharkhand.
Addressing a gathering in Seraikela Kharsawan, Soren promised to bring about significant changes that would bring prosperity to the state's people and enhance their respect and standing on the national stage.
"In the coming days, I will work for the tribal and poor people in such a way that I will give a new identity to Jharkhand in the country. I will work for the prosperity and respect of the people of Jharkhand," Soren declared, emphasising his commitment to the state's development.
After he indicated the possibility of starting a new party, he clarified on Friday that he holds no grudge against his former organisation.
He also said that the decision to form a new party was driven by thousands of workers from across the state reaching out and showing interest in working together. He added that if a good ally is found before the elections, a partnership will be considered.
"We have started our journey alone; we have no ill will towards the organisation. New chapters will be added to it, and we will move our political steps forward with strength. Thousands of workers from different areas of the state contacted me and expressed their desire to work together. That is why we have decided to form an organisation. If we find a good ally before the elections, we will also form a friendship with that ally," Soren said.
On Thursday Soren said that he would form an organisation and would actively enter Jharkhand politics again.
"Today, I visited 3 districts, including Seraikela and Chaibasa. It was the second day of the tour of my new chapter. Everything is going well, the public is joining us. I will actively enter Jharkhand politics again. I will form an organisation and try to make friends in the way before the Assembly elections...I will reveal everything within a week. When I have started a new chapter, I can only stay in one place. I will reveal everything after a week," Champai Soren told ANI.

As the political climate in Jharkhand intensifies, all eyes are on Champai Soren and his next move, with significant implications for the upcoming state elections.
Assembly elections are going to be held in Jharkhand this year in 2024 and BJP has fully prepared to corner the government. (ANI)
