Chain snatcher injured in encounter with Police in UP's Mathura, aide arrested
One person involved in an alleged chain-snatching attempt with a woman was injured after an encounter with police broke out on Monday.

Mathura (Uttar Pradesh) [India], October 16 (ANI): One miscreant involved in an alleged chain-snatching attempt with a woman was injured after an encounter with police broke out on Monday.
The accused has been identified as Gopal Goswami.
Police also said that another accused named Manish was arrested in this incident.
"A criminal named Gopal Goswami was injured. He was shot in the leg. His associate Manish has been arrested. They were running away after a chain-snatching attempt. More than 15 cases in the past have been registered against him," Senior Superintendent of Police Shailesh Kumar Pandey said. 
Further investigation is underway, police said. (ANI)
