Centre 'keeping an eye' on terror recruitment in Kashmir

New Delhi [India], July 13 (ANI): The Central government is keeping a tab on the growing number of youth joining terrorism in Kashmir, said Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

New Delhi [India], July 13 (ANI): The Central government is keeping a tab on the growing number of youth joining terrorism in Kashmir, said Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
"We are keeping an eye on recruitment. We are also focusing on what is motivating them to join terrorism and who is behind influencing them. Also, we are able to eliminate terrorists on the borders itself," Sitharaman said at a press conference here on Friday.
Sitharaman's statement comes in the wake of growing number of terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir.
Earlier in the day, one Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel was killed and another got seriously injured in a terrorist attack in Anantnag's Sheer Pora.
Meanwhile, earlier this week one security personnel was killed and another was critically injured after an encounter with terrorists in Handwara area of Kupwara district on July 11. Terrorists also hurled grenade at a joint camp of the CRPF in Pulwama district on July 9. (ANI)
