New Delhi [India], Feb 3 (ANI): The Central Railways has decided to run an additional number of trains during the festivals keeping in view the higher demand for transport services.

Central Railways launch festival special trains

New Delhi [India], Feb 3 (ANI): The Central Railways has decided to run an additional number of trains during the festivals keeping in view the higher demand for transport services.

Under Union Railways and Coal Minister Piyush Goyal, the railways will run 22 special trains to manage the rush of passengers during important Hindu festivals like Holi and Mahashivratri.

Two trains namely Train No. 02171 and Train No. 02172 will run from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaja Terminus Mumbai to Jammu Tawi.

The next route will be from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai to Lucknow. Besides, two weekly special trains will be running on this route.

Train No. 02011 will depart from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaja Terminus Mumbai at 2:20 pm on two days, Feb. 27 and March 6. Train no. 02012 weekly special will depart from Lucknow at 3 pm on Feb. 28 and March 27.

The third route will be from Lokmanya Tilak terminus to Gorakhpur. Two weekly trains will function on this route including Train No. 01017 from Lokmanya Tilak terminus from 7:50 am on Feb. 27 and March 6 and Train No. 01018 which will depart Gorakhpur at 9:45 pm on Feb. 28 and March 7 and arrive at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 5:45 am on the third day.

Two weekly special trains will run between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Karmali.

Train no. 01145 will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 1.10 am on March 2 and March 30 and will reach Karmali at 11.00 pm the same day.

Train No. 01146 will leave Karmali at 2:00 pm on March 2 & March 30 and arrive at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 12:20 am the next day.

The fifth route is between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Sawantwadi Road. Train no. 01137 will depart from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 1:10 am on March 5 and April 2 and will arrive at Sawantwadi at 10:30 pm.

Train no. 01138 will depart Sawantwadi road at 2:05 pm on March 5 and April 2 and will arrive at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 12:20 am, the next day.

The final route will be from Pune to Patna. Two weekly specials will be on this route. Train no. 01347 will depart Pune at 8:20 pm on Feb. 26 and March 5 and will reach Patna at 8:30 am on the third day.

Train no. 01348 will depart Patna at 5:45 pm on Feb. 28 and March 7 and will arrive at Pune on the third day at 4:05 am. (ANI)
