Jodhpur (Rajasthan) [India], November 6 (ANI): Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge heaped praise on Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and alleged that the BJP was misusing government agencies like the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
"The BJP and central government are trying to harass our leaders. Those who are doing good work, let them work. It will benefit the people of the country. The jobs that were created by Congress by building institutions have been sold to Adani and other rich entrepreneurs. ED, IT, and CBI are sent beforehand wherever PM Modi goes to give a speech. Raids were conducted on Congress people, allegations were made. You (BJP) are the ones who are looting the country" the Congress President said.
He further alleged that PM Modi gave false assurances of creating 2 crore jobs every year.
"Till now, 19 crore jobs should have been created, as PM Modi had assured two crore jobs every year. The BJP has snatched jobs that could have been created in railways, banks, post offices, and other government institutions. Only talks will not do anything. There should be food, jobs, and schools for learning. Nothing will happen in the country by giving slogans and good speeches. The PM has become jittery after losing the Karnataka elections," he said.
Kharge added that Congress would win the polls. On the Mahadev betting app case, he said, "Let them (BJP) do whatever they want. Congress will win (Chhattisgarh)."
Earlier, CM Ashok Gehlot on Monday filed his nomination from the Sardarpura Assembly constituency in Rajasthan which is going to polls on November 25. The last date for filing nominations is November 6.
Rajasthan will go to the polls on November 25, the counting of which will take place on December 5, along with four other state assembly elections. (ANI)
