CBI arrests postal department inspector in Varanasi for accepting bribe

The arrested accused have been identified as Mandeep Kumar.

New Delhi [India], June 5 (ANI): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested an inspector in the postal department, North Division, Varanasi Cantt for allegedly accepting a bribe.
The arrested accused has been identified as Mandeep Kumar.
A case was registered by CBI against the accused Inspector, North Division on allegations that the accused demanded a bribe of Rs 10,000 from the complainant for the posting of the complainant at his original/earlier place of posting.
CBI laid a trap and caught the accused red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from the complainant. Subsequently, he was arrested and will be produced before the competent court.
Searches were conducted at the residential premises of the accused in Varanasi.
The investigation is continuing. (ANI)
