CBDT extends date for filing returns for audit cases by a month

The Ministry of Railways has implemented a multi-pronged strategy to enhance freight efficiency, ensure seamless regional connectivity, and provide robust first-and-last-mile solutions. Key initiatives include the launch of the 'Rail Parcel' app-based logistics platform on a pilot basis, the expansion of the Joint Parcel Product - Rapid Cargo Service (JPP-RCS), and significant investment in terminal infrastructure across the country.

Assam Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Ranjeet Kumar Dass on Tuesday said that the state government has completed the construction of 17.20 lakh houses in the last five years under the Union government's flagship Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

Addressing the lower house, she said, "There is only one person in the country who has not bowed down before them (the ruling side) in the last 12 years. It is the Leader of the Opposition. They cannot digest the truth he speaks."

During the four years of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami's second tenure, 819 Panchayat buildings have been constructed or reconstructed across the state, Panchayati Raj Minister Satpal Maharaj said during the Question Hour of the Assembly on Tuesday.

"The next booking for LPG cylinders will be allowed only after the 25th day from the date of the previous delivery, and there is no shortage in supply of LPG as it is stated by oil companies. Commercial LPG cylinders have not been issued since yesterday, but an exemption has been given to hospitals and educational institutions," Gupta told ANI.
