Catering tariffs on Indian Railways trains upwardly revised

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) on Wednesday directed all its zonal offices to make alternative arrangements at catering units across railway stations amid a growing shortage of commercial LPG cylinders triggered by the ongoing war in West Asia, sources said on Wednesday.

The Haryana government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation to facilitate free train travel for eligible senior citizens to various pilgrimage sites under the Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Yojana, officials said here on Tuesday.

The CM claimed that disruption in supply following a central directive is forcing restaurants, hotels, and catering services to the brink of temporary closure.

In an advisory, SpiceJet said, "Dear Customer, due to operational reasons, your SpiceJet flight SG 263 from Delhi has been revised. Here are the updated details: SG 263, 10 Mar 26, Delhi (Terminal 1D) - Kolkata (Terminal 2), 0940 hrs - 1200 hrs. For flight changes, itinerary updates."

During the Budget presentation, Siddaramaiah announced that in accordance with the revised transfer rules of the Excise Department, transfers of Group-C cadre officers, including Excise Inspectors, Excise Sub-Inspectors, and Excise Head Constables/Constables, have been carried out through digital counselling.
