Case filed against Rahul Gandhi, Tejashwi Yadav in Ara Civil Court

Ara (Bihar) [India], Apr 27 (ANI): A case under Section 124 (A) and 505 (1) has been filed against Congress president Rahul Gandhi and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav in the Ara Civil Court by an advocate named Satyavrat on Saturday.

Ara (Bihar) [India], Apr 27 (ANI): A case under Section 124 (A) and 505 (1) has been filed against Congress president Rahul Gandhi and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav in the Ara Civil Court by an advocate named Satyavrat on Saturday.
The complainant, Satyavrat, has filed a case against both the leaders for the joint rally of the Mahagathbandhan held in Samastipur on Friday, where Gandhi was allegedly asking the crowd to raise slogans of ‘Chowkidar Chor Hai’ to target Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
This was also the first rally in the ongoing campaigns for the Lok Sabha elections in which the two prominent leaders shared the stage.
While Section 124 (A) covers sedition, section 505 (1) deals with intent to incite one section of the public to commit offences against another section of the public or statements creating ill-will between the masses.
Polling in Bihar is being held in al seven phases of elections. Counting of votes will take place on May 23. (ANI)
