"Can present documents of transfers and postings without NCCSA meeting," Saurabh Bhardwaj on Delhi LG's allegations

New Delhi [India], August 28 (ANI): Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj, responding to Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena's office statement saying the unavailability of the chief minister and lack of an NCCSA meeting delayed the appointment for doctors, said he can present document of transfers and postings without any National Capital Civil Service Authority (NCCSA) meeting.
Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena said that appointments, postings and transfers are decided by the NCCSA, which is headed by the Chief Minister.
"I have put forth a simple point that you (Delhi's LG) say that doctors cannot be posted because the NCCSA meeting could not be held. I showed you the papers of postings and transfers of Group A of Delhi Government, that transfers and postings have been done in June and this month of August without any NCCSA meeting.
The LG could not say anything about this. New officers have been posted in PWD. The LG should give it in writing that it is legal and I will accept it. It is completely illegal and has come to the LG's notice, despite that he has not taken any action against the PWD Principal Secretary, he is not answering it..," the AAP leader said.
Earlier, VK Saxena said that appointments, postings and transfers are decided by the National Capital Civil Service Authority, which is headed by the Chief Minister.
Notably, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is in jail following his arrest by the ED on March 21, 2024, in connection with a money laundering probe relating to alleged irregularities in the now-cancelled Delhi excise policy 2021-22. (ANI)
