The acquittal order dated January 20 this year was pronounced by the court of Special Judge Vijay Pal in Bulandshahr

According to the investigation, Gautam and other co-accused were falsely implicated in the FIR no-112 in 2017 filed under Police Station Khurja Nagar, Bulandshahar.

The FIR had been filed under sections 302/309/120b/201/34 of the IPC, sections 3/25/27 of the Arms Act and Section 3(2)(v) of the SC & ST attrocity prevention Act.

The investigation noted that Gautam had been falsely implicated by his political rivals.

The order states that the Police have been unable establish the circumstantial evidence cited to file the FIR against Gautam and others. The police have also failed to establish that Manoj Gautam's licensed pistol was used in the killing.
