New Delhi [India] Feb 01 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Amit Shah on Thursday hailed the General Budget 2018-19 while saying that it is in the spirit of "Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas."

New Delhi [India] Feb 01 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Amit Shah on Thursday hailed the General Budget 2018-19 while saying that it is in the spirit of "Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas."

Lauding the Budget, Shah called it a "milestone" which projects Prime Minister Narendra Modi's concept of New India.

Addressing the media here, he said that budget is pro-poor and in the interest of underprivileged classes

"The Budget 2018 is for the development of the poorest and most underprivileged classes," he said.

Shah also noted the there are many schemes in the budget that will give new wings to aspirations of the poor, and cited measures aimed at giving a boost to farmers, infrastructure, rural sector and small and medium enterprises.

Earlier in the day, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley presented the General Budget 2018-19 at the Parliament.

Prime Minister Modi also welcomed the budget and said that it is development friendly.

He also said that the budget focuses not only on Ease of Doing Business but also on Ease of Living for the common man. (ANI)
