BSP announces second list of 50 candidates, Congress finalises 150 nominees

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], Oct 26 (ANI): Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) on Friday announced a list of 50 candidates for different assembly constituencies for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], Oct 26 (ANI): Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) on Friday announced a list of 50 candidates for different assembly constituencies for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections.
Earlier, the BSP had released a list of 22 candidates and today's announcement takes the tally of announced BSP candidates for Madhya Pradesh to 72.
Later in the day, the Congress party also finalised 150 candidates for Madhya Pradesh Assembly polls.
Deepak Babaria, in charge Madhya Pradesh Congress, said, "The list of 150 candidates for Madhya Pradesh Assembly polls has been finalised. The decision has been taken unanimously."
The elections, which were earlier seen as a direct political battle between the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress party, is now seeing many political parties coming to the fray. Shiv Sena has already announced candidates for 21 seats.
Single phase assembly polls in the state will be held on November 28 to elect representatives of the 230 constituencies. The counting of votes will take place on December 11. (ANI)
