BSF's inter-frontier Judo competition begins in Meghalaya's Shillong

Inter-Frontier Judo Cluster Competition, 2023 hosted by BSF Meghalaya Frontier, started in Shillong on Monday.

Shillong (Meghalaya) [India], August 22 (ANI): Inter-Frontier Judo Cluster Competition, 2023 hosted by BSF Meghalaya Frontier, started in Shillong on Monday.
The Competition saw the participation of teams from eleven BSF Frontiers.
The grand opening ceremony took place at NEHU Shillong. The opening ceremony was marked by an oath-taking ceremony, followed by a splendid march past the participating teams, a captivating BSF band display, and a cultural performance presented by troops and students of BSF School.
Meghalaya DGP Lajja Ram Bishnoi, who was the chief guest at the opening ceremony, extended his compliments to the participating teams and encouraged them to exhibit their skill, stamina, and endurance while upholding the spirit of sportsmanship, the official statement said.
He also applauded BSF for its commitment to various sporting disciplines as an integral part of its day-to-day operations. The competition will last till August 25.
He underscored the significance of sports in the lives of BSF personnel, promoting a healthy lifestyle and fostering a sense of unity, the statement added. (ANI)
