BSF recovers contraband item from Punjab's Amritsar

Amritsar (Punjab) [India], December 13 (ANI): The Border Security Force on Wednesday recovered a contraband item wrapped in yellow adhesive tape from the farming field near Dhaone Khurd village of Amritsar.
"On 13th December 2023, during morning hours, Border Security Force troops while carrying out area domination patrolling ahead of border fence observed suspicious item in the farming field near Village in Dhaone Khurd, District- Amritsar(R)," the BSF said in an official statement.
During the search of the area, at about 11:45 am, BSF troops recovered 1 packet of narcotics item suspected to be Heroin (Gross wt - 570 Gms) wrapped with yellow adhesive tape and "a hook made of rope attached with the packet, from the farming field ahead of border fence," the statement further said.
