BSF, Punjab Police recover China made drone in Punjab's Tarn Taran district

The Border Security Force (BSF) along with the Punjab Police recovered a drone from a farming field adjacent to village Khemkaran in the border area of Tarn Taran district on Wednesday evening, officials said.

Tarn Taran (Punjab) [India], April 25 (ANI): The Border Security Force (BSF) along with the Punjab Police recovered a drone from a farming field adjacent to village Khemkaran in the border area of Punjab's Tarn Taran district on Wednesday evening, officials said.
"On 24th Apr' 2024, based on information by BSF intelligence set up about presence of a drone in the border area of Tarn Taran district, a joint search operation by BSF troops with Punjab Police was conducted in the suspected area," the Border Security Force stated.
The recovered drone has been identified as a China-made DJI Mavic 3 Classic.
"During the search operation, at about 07:00 pm, troops successfully recovered one drone in a farming field adjacent to village Khemkaran in Tarn Taran District," BSF stated in an official statement.
The statement further stated that a reliable information and coordinated efforts of BSF and Punjab police successfully recovered yet another illicit drone from across the border.

Earlier on Monday, BSF along with Punjab Police recovered a drone in the Tarn Taran district.
"On 22nd April 2024, based on information by BSF intelligence set up about the presence of a drone in the border area of Tarn Taran district, a joint search operation by BSF troops with Punjab Police was conducted in the suspected area," the Border Security Force stated.
The recovered drones were identified as China-made DJI Mavic 3 Classic.

In another operation on April 22, forward deployed BSF troops in district Amritsar observed suspected movement of a person in the area ahead of the border fence.
The troops on duty immediately challenged and caught hold of him as he tried to escape towards the IB. Upon questioning, the apprehended person revealed to be a Pakistani national. After initial questioning, the apprehended person was handed over to Punjab Police for further investigation. The BSF said that vigilant troops once again displayed their professional acumen and swift execution in apprehension of an intruder crossing into Indian territory. (ANI)
