BSF Director General and Special Director General repatriated to parent cadre

The Director General of Border Security Force (BSF), Nitin Agarwal and the Special Director General of BSF, Y.B. Khurania, have been repatriated to their parent cadres of Kerala and Odisha, respectively, upon the orders of the central government, on Friday.

New Delhi [India], August 2 (ANI): The Director General of Border Security Force (BSF), Nitin Agarwal and the Special Director General of BSF, Y.B. Khurania, have been repatriated to their parent cadres of Kerala and Odisha, respectively, upon the orders of the central government, on Friday.
The order copy accessed by ANI read that the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs for the premature repatriation of Nitin Agarwal, IPS, DG, BSF, to his parent cadre with immediate effect.
In another order, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs for the premature repatriation of YB Khurania, IPS, Special DG BSF to his parent cadre with immediate effect.

Recently, there were frequent reports of infiltration from the Jammu border, which is under the operational control of BSF.
Also, the government approved the proposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs for the appointment of Amrit Mohan Prasad, IPS, as Special Director General, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), in Level-16 of the pay matrix from the date of joining the post and up to August 31, 2025, i.e. the date of his superannuation or till further orders, whichever is earlier.
