Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], August 18 (ANI): Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Monday rode a motorcycle on the newly inaugurated Hebbal flyover in Bengaluru.

He said the new flyover, built in just seven months at a cost of 80 crore rupees, will help reduce traffic by 30 per cent and make commuting easier for people at Hebbal Junction.

In a post on X, DK Shivakumar wrote, "Breezing through traffic at Hebbal Junction! The new Hebbal Flyover Loop, inaugurated today, will be a game changer for people commuting via Hebbal Junction. A 700 metre ramp built at a cost of 80Cr in just 7 months, will reduce traffic congestion by 30% and improve commute quality."
Shivakumar also shared that riding his old bike brought back memories of his college days.
"Also relived my college days by riding my old Yezdi RoadKing. Dear Bengalureans, we're committed with deep passion, and we will deliver," the post read.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah flagged off the newly inaugurated Hebbal flyover in Bengaluru.
Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar also launched a scathing attack on the BJP, and said that they have not done even a single small work during their tenure.
Shivakumar said the state government is working to solve problems in North Bangalore and that a new metro line will be ready by next December.
Speaking to the reporters, DK Shivakumar said, "... By next December, another line (of metro) will also be operational. We have authorised BDA (Bangalore Development Authority) chairman Haris to take this responsibility. So we are working on it. We will see that this problem of North Bangalore will be solved. I am very transparent. For me work should be done."
Shivakumar also challenged the BJP to show any work they have done or money brought from the central government for the city.
"That young MP was saying that we are doing the work for money, we do not need money. In their (BJP) tenure, they have not done even a single small work. Let them show one work. It is shameful that they have not brought a single rupee from the central government. Bangalore is a global city, the Prime Minister also agreed and accepted this," he added. (ANI)
