Bombay High Court

Nagpur (Maharashtra) [India], Nov 22 (ANI): The Nagpur bench of the Bombay High Court on Thursday denied a stay on 'Hunkar Sabha' slated to take place here on November 25.
The 'Hunkar Sabha' is being organised in two more places, Ayodhya and Bengaluru. It is organised by different wings of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) is the front face of the event. The VHP poster around the city of Nagpur categorically mentions that the Ram bhakts (devotees) will join the occasion to pledge construction of a grand Ram Temple. It is seen as a social gathering to garner support for the construction and around one lakh people are expected to attend the event in Nagpur itself.
Petitioner Janardhan Moon, a social activist, moved the Nagpur bench of the Bombay High Court seeking a stay on the event citing disruption of peace.
Religious leaders Sadhvi Rithambara, Shankaracharya Swami Vasudevanand Saraswati, Jitendranath Maharaj and VHP working president Alok Kumar will be addressing the gathering.
VHP's Maharashtra state vice president Hemant Jabenkar said, "People of the Sangh Parivar (RSS) and everyone associated with them will be present at this rally. The rallies will be held in Ayodhya and Bengaluru as well. Amongst the three, Nagpur will have the biggest event. The main aim of this rally is to make the present generation aware of the Ayodhya movement."
The VHP, along with Shiv Sena, is planning to initiate a 1990-like movement to accelerate the construction of a Temple in Ayodhya. (ANI)
